Who runs it
Magellan Global operates the programme itself, as it operates GSRP, its programme for enterprise successors. The engineers who mentor students, review designs and sign off for fabrication are the group’s engineering team in Taipei, close to the semiconductor supply chain that makes the chips. MTRI, the group’s research institute in Tokyo and Singapore, co-develops the Studio’s AI assistant and studies the programme as it runs. Families planning a student’s education are supported by AJPE, the group’s private-education and family advisory brand; travel for the Taipei silicon week is arranged by WG Global, its mobility company; and the student intellectual-property policy is maintained by LegalMatrix. Contracts are with Magellan Global.
Why a group like ours runs it
Magellan Global describes itself as an AI technology and professional services group advancing enterprise transformation and developing extraordinary talent. It develops people itself because, as AI makes capability cheap, knowledge, judgement and opportunity become the scarce resources; that is the subject of the group’s Mobility Capital framework. Magellan Silicon applies the same idea to a young person’s first real project: crossing from software into hardware, manufacturing and an international stage, and coming back with understanding that becomes opportunity. Years later, outstanding participants can go on to GSRP.
The elephant
The elephant is the group’s family mark, shared with magellon, its talent platform. Here it holds a chip. The Magellan Global wordmark with its sunrise appears alongside as the endorsement, because the programme is the group’s own.
Five principles
- The student designs. The mentor reviews and signs off; the AI assistant explains, checks and records; the student decides and writes.
- Real silicon. Every student’s design is fabricated and measured; the chip is evidence, not decoration.
- Honest outcomes. We say what every student receives, what the outcomes pack supports and what becomes possible, and we publish each cohort’s results.
- Open tools. The Studio is built on open-source chip-design tools, so no family or school buys design software.
- Studied, not asserted. MTRI researches the programme with separate consent and publishes either way.
